Raising funds for charity can be hard work. Sharing the load is easier and more fun. Schools 4 Schools have established partnerships both at home and abroad to help with fundraising and with the projects they support.
Fundraising:
Pearson Education, the world’s largest educational publisher, is a committed partner for Schools 4 Schools. Pearson Longman have committed funds to the charity for the last two years and contiune to encourage their staff to raise money on an ongoing basis. They have also supplied books to one of the projects in South Africa
Schools 4 Schools are creating relationships with a number of schools in the UK and plan to extend their contact to many more over the next 5 years. This also helps to form relationships between children in the UK and in the charity’s target areas. This is a very important part of the charity in the UK have more appreciation for what they have maybe they will go on to try and help the world in the future.
Individuals are also helping the charity by working together to raise funds, provide resources and carry out PR and marketing activities.
On the ground:
The Tourism Community Development (TCD) Trust has been set up in South Africa to assist people at grassroots level in local townships. Two of their founding members, Di Thomas and Enver Mally, provide local support and have worked with Schools 4 Schools on the building of:
The Tibet House Trust was founded to promote the cultural, political and social heritage of Tibet and its people. Under the patronage of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the trust works with the Tibetan Government in Exile to assist the many displaced Tibetans living in India. One of their many programmes involves:
