The initial drive of the charity was the conviction that by forming lasting relationships between schools in The Gambia and those in the UK we would be able to increase learning opportunities and global citizenship in both countries.

The connections we have been able to make have not only provided valuable funds and resources for the Gambian schools but provided a connection to a totally different view of the world for each.

We actively encourage a real dialogue between the twinned schools, which in a number of instances has lead to either teachers volunteering in The Gambia or visits from pupils to their twinned school.
