Community based projects are sometimes as important as specific school activities.



The school will normally be at the heart of the community and as such if we install a new pump on an existing well or put in a new water supply, the benefits will not just be seen at the school.



Many of the illnesses which blight the poorer parts of the world can be attributed to poor drinking water and this also applies in The Gambia. The access to clean drinking water is a core requirement at any school we work with and as such we have installed many water delivery systems, be they pumps or new wells.



From an education point of view, it has been proved that well hydrated children have higher attention levels and their learning ability improves.
