In 2010 we trialled the establishment of bee hives at one specific site in The Gambia, as a result of which we became aware of the multifaceted benefits which come from honey production in Africa.



Not only does it provide a much needed food group which requires no additional resources such as water or labour, but once established it can provide a much needed additional revenue stream for the community.

Our initial trial was eventually a success but through that process we learned a great deal and are now able to build on that success. We would like to provide more communities in the future as and when funds are available.
